Even though entering their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a platform for several Palace's fringe players to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in match.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
