Three Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Honour

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their exceptional achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The show will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.
Michelle Agyemang

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.
These match-saving moments led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.
She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
Littler's Profile

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.
And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
