The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Performer for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, even if the real showdown isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared this week that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. The role has the ability to change into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character reinterpreted as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the live-action show, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
This performer is joined by several other fresh additions who will portray Baroque Works to reality, such as leader Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.
Although this character is a key figure of the group, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece season 3. Considering the next season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a major departure in the placement of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the role. In addition to their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is set to return for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
